Residents across Lanark County and the Ottawa Valley are being invited to explore the fast-changing world of artificial intelligence during a free community workshop later this month.
The event, titled Large Language Models and Autonomous Agents, will take place Saturday, March 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Upper Hall of the John Levi Community Centre.
Organizer Jesse Hirsh, an Almonte-based farmer, futurist and public educator, says the goal is to create practical conversations about AI that are easy for people to understand.
Hirsh says many conversations about artificial intelligence happen in major cities, but rural communities should also have a voice.
Hirsch says the event will explore how AI could support local businesses and community initiatives.
The free workshop requires registration.
