Families in Mississippi Mills will have plenty of ways to stay busy this March Break with a full week of activities planned across the community.
The municipality is hosting free public skating sessions from March 16th to 20th at arenas in Almonte and Pakenham, with sessions running most afternoons and sponsored by a number of local businesses and community groups.
The entertainment continues on March 17th with the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dance at the Stewart Community Centre. The evening begins at 8 p.m., featuring live Celtic music from The Ryan’s. Tickets are $25 and include a light lunch.
On March 18th, families can enjoy a “Movie and Skate” afternoon at the John Levi Community Centre, with public skating from 1 to 3 p.m. and a showing of Zootopia 2 beginning at 2 p.m.
An exotic animal presentation by The Keepers takes place March 19 at the Stewart Community Centre, followed by balloon animals for kids.
The week wraps up March 20 with Mr. Smith bringing his interactive Family Magic Show to the Almonte Old Town Hall. Shows run at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with tickets available online. For all the details go to mississippimills.ca/marchbreak
