A pancake breakfast will be held April 4 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Bethel United Church on Rideau Ferry Road during Ontario Maple Weekend. The menu includes pancakes, sausages and Oliver’s Mapleworks syrup. Admission is by free will donation. Call 613-264-9273 for more information.

Families are invited to the Easter Egg Express April 4 and 5 at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario in Smiths Falls. Activities include train and tractor rides, Easter Bunny visits, a petting zoo, scavenger hunt and crafts. Organizers say the event offers a full day of family-friendly spring fun.

CCHL Playoffs continue with the Smiths Falls Bears in the second round after sweeping Brockville. Game 1 is tomorrow against Ottawa.
The Smiths Falls Jr. Bears are in the Barkley Cup Final, where they’ll face the Casselman Vikings for the championship. Game 1 is tonight.
