A 31-year-old Lombardy driver is facing multiple charges following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 15 at Briton-Houghton Bay Road.
Leeds County OPP say the crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 2. Four people were involved. Two suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and one was taken to a regional trauma centre.
Following an investigation, Jerod Benoit has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration, dangerous operation, obstructing a peace officer, and failing to comply with a release order.
Benoit was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Brockville court on May 15. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days.
OPP are reminding drivers that road safety is a shared responsibility and to report dangerous driving.
