The Township of Rideau Lakes is celebrating its business community after announcing the 2025 Business Recognition Award winners.
The annual program, now in its 10th year, saw 50 local businesses nominated for their contributions across the region.
Recess Café in Portland was named Business of the Year, praised for its bright atmosphere, strong local following and support of other small businesses through local sourcing.
Clearly Auto Glass earned the Small Business Award, with owners Joe and Victoria recognized for their reliable mobile service and strong reputation among customers.
Stone Manor Studios in Newboro received the New Business Award, highlighted for its immersive art workshops and commitment to building creative community connections.
The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Elgin Lions Hall, with Michael Barrett taking part in the presentations.
In addition, 22 long-standing businesses were honoured, marking milestones from 20 years to more than 150 years in operation.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom said council is proud to recognize the contributions of local business owners.
The township says it remains committed to supporting its more than 470 businesses.
