The Centre for Workforce Development is expanding its Local Board services into Lanark County and Renfrew County for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
The expansion comes after a ministry review by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development to ensure continued service delivery in the region. CFWD will establish an additional site covering the new area from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.
CEO Sandi Ramsay says the move reflects CFWD’s capacity to deliver labour market research and strengthen partnerships with employers, educators, and community groups.
The organization will continue serving its existing catchment area of Hastings, Prince Edward, and Lennox & Addington counties.
CFWD says the goal is to support workforce planning and improve labour market responsiveness across all service regions.
