Lanark County Paramedic Service saw an 8% call volume increase in 2025, according to the year-end report of Chief Travis Mellema, who said it was an expected rise.
LCPS responded to a total of 14,448 calls in 2025, with the highest year-to-year jumps in Perth (3,286 total calls, a jump of 417), and Carleton Place (2,429 calls, an increase of 271).
Mellema said demand climbs each year for the ever-popular paramedicine program.
There were a total of 5932 interactions of community paramedics in 2025 (home visit, phone visit, 911 follow up or RPM interaction).
