At Mississippi Mills council meeting on April 28th, Deputy Mayor Rickey Minnille announced he will run again for Deputy Mayor.
This will be his sixth election.
Minnille served three terms as an Almonte ward councillor from 2003-2014.
In March of 2019 he was appointed Deputy Mayor by council to fill a vacancy after the death of council-member John Levi.
In 2022 he ran again and was elected as Deputy Mayor. He serves with Mayor Christa Lowry on Lanark County council.
Nominations for this October’s municipal elections open on May 1st and close at 2 pm on August 21st. Election day is October 26th.
