A Smiths Falls woman is facing an assault with a weapon charge after police responded to an intimate partner violence call involving a tattoo machine.
Smiths Falls police said officers received a 9-1-1 call on May 2 about an active IPV incident at a residence. Officers went to the scene and began an investigation.
Police said one person had minor injuries after being struck and marked with a tattoo machine.
A suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
Police said a 35-year-old woman from Smiths Falls has been charged with assault with a weapon. Her name was not released by police.
The accused was held in custody for a bail court appearance.
