Two Montague Township residents are facing assault causing bodily harm charges after Smiths Falls police investigated a reported disturbance inside a residence.
Police said they received information on May 12 about a physical disturbance that had happened May 9 in Smiths Falls.
Officers began an investigation into the incident.
Police said both people involved were arrested without incident.
Maria Campbell, 25, and Tiffany Wynn, 39, both of Montague Township, have each been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police said both accused were later released from custody with conditions. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Police did not release further details about the disturbance or the injuries involved.
The charges have not been tested in court.
Smiths Falls police said the investigation began after they received information about the incident several days after it reportedly occurred.
