Home Hospice North Lanark and the Town of Carleton Place host a free 55+ Expo at the Carleton Place Arena on Neelin Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m today. The event features speakers, community organizations, wellness resources, swag bags and complimentary coffee for older adults and caregivers.
A Honky Tonk Line Dancing Night is set for tonight at 6787 County Road 43, near Perth. Featuring Just4Kixx, the event invites residents to enjoy an evening of dancing and music. Tickets are limited, and attendees are encouraged to secure spots early.

The Smiths Falls Thursday Night Cruise-In goes tonight at the Settlers Ridge Centre parking lot, 275 Brockville St. Classic car enthusiasts and spectators are invited to attend weekly from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. More information is available through the event Facebook group.
The Smiths Falls By The Rideau Market will open tomorrow Lower Reach Park on Old Slys Road under new management and at a new location. The market runs Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m. through Oct. 2. Organizers say residents can shop local vendors and enjoy waterfront community activities.
The Port Elmsley Drive-In at 333 Port Elmsley Rd. will screen Masters of the Universe followed by Michael on tomorrow and Saturday. Gates and the grill open at 7:30 p.m. with movies beginning at 9:05 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $6 for children ages five to 12.
The Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee will host Freecycle Weekend throughout the community encouraging residents to place reusable items at the curb for others to collect free of charge. Organizers say the initiative helps reduce landfill waste while promoting reuse. Remaining items must be removed from curbs by Sunday evening.
