The Spirit of the Drum Pow Wow is returning to Duck Island this June, bringing a colourful celebration of culture, community, music and tradition back to the area.
The event is set for June 13 and 14, 2026, and organizers say it will welcome dancers, participants and community members for a meaningful gathering rooted in Indigenous culture.
The pow wow will feature dancers, drumming and regalia, with each step and beat helping tell an important story. Organizers say the event is a chance for people to come together, learn and celebrate tradition in a respectful and welcoming setting.
Dancers and participants are being warmly invited to take part in the pow wow.
Organizers say that, in keeping with event protocols, honoraria will only be provided to dancers who present valid status identification as part of the registration process.
The Spirit of the Drum Pow Wow is expected to be a memorable gathering for people who want to support culture, community connection and shared respect.
Organizers say they look forward to welcoming everyone back to Duck Island for the two-day event.
More details, including registration information for dancers, are available through the event poster and organizers.
