The Stewart Park Festival offers visitors more than three days of live music when it returns to downtown Perth from July 17 to 19.
Festival chair Shawn Vermier says the event’s location allows guests to move easily between the park and the town’s restaurants, cafés and shops. Visitors can leave the festival grounds and return whenever they choose, making it possible to build a full day around the performances.
Guests looking for a meal can visit food vendors inside the festival or walk into the downtown for a sit-down dining experience. Local businesses are expected to welcome large crowds throughout the weekend.
The downtown setting also gives visitors a chance to stretch their legs, explore Perth’s streets and take a break between performances on the festival’s three stages.
Parking near Stewart Park will be limited, but organizers say walking from a more distant lot can become part of the experience.
And Vermier says there is another option.
A free shuttle will also operate from Giant Tiger, Algonquin College and Last Duel Park, helping visitors avoid the busiest streets.
Organizers recommend arriving early, allowing extra travel time and exploring the downtown before or after a favourite performance.
