Year-end building figures are in for Saugeen Shores and things are looking up in more ways than one.
A report was delivered at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting.
It reveals that the Town saw construction values reach $128 Million in 2019, up 33% from 2018.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says this bodes well for the community as it will help them address some of the issues they are facing.
The report noted that commercial construction value in 2019 was $18.2 Million, eight times higher than in 2018.
There was also 132 new residential unit built with a value of $69 Million.
