A Goderich man found out the hard way that it is tough to outrun a dog.
Huron County OPP tried to stop an SUV on Kerr Street in Wingham early Friday morning.
The vehicle sped off and led police on a brief chase before crashing into a guard rail on a dead-end road.
The driver fled on foot and that was when the Canine unit were brought in.
The dog named Valor (shown in photo) not only was able to track down the driver but also sniffed out some suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
The 28-year-old was arrested, charged, and is being held until his court appearance on Wednesday.
