Goderich native Brock Dykxhoorn is in the running for an award from the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
Dykxhoorn is in the running for the James “Tip”O’Neill award which is given each year to a player who has excelled in individual as well as team contributions while adhering to baseball’s highest ideals.
The right-hander was named the Outstanding Player of the Taiwan Series after propelling the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions to a championship.
Other nominees include: Andrew Albers, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Josh Naylor, Tyler O’Neill, Cal Quantrill, Jamie Romak, Jordan Romano, Abraham Toro, Joey Votto, Rowan Wick
