The South Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have welcomed their new operations manager.
Staff Sergeant Ryan Olmstead (in photo) began working out the detachment in Kincardine on February 1st.
Olmstead comes from the Lambton County detachment where he was staff sergeant detachment manager since 2017.
He joined the OPP in 1998 at the Marathon detachment where worked there for six years becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team in 2001.
Olmstead also worked in Bancroft and Huron County.
He received the Commissioners Citation for Lifesaving in 2013 and Police Exemplary Service Medal in 2018.
