You’ve seen cardboard cutouts of people in the stands at sports venues, now motorists may see one along the side of the road.
Huron County OPP unveiled a life-sized two-dimensional cutout of a police constable pointing a radar device.
This is an initiative by the Coalition of Huron Injury Prevention committee (or CHIP) in an effort to get motorists to slow down and prevent collisions involving vehicles and pedestrians.
The cutout even has a name, “Constable Wes Coast”.
Huron County OPP say the cutout can be seen along with actual officers in areas where speed issues occur.
