The County has created a Huron County Community Safety and Well-Being Plan after collaborating with many different areas of the community.
The plan establishes a roadmap outlining how partners can collaborate across sectors to make communities safer, more inclusive and resilient.
All nine municipalities came together to create the plan, which identifies the root causes of crime and other complex issues by looking at them holistically, and taking into account factors like social development and prevention.
The plan will be implemented by a multi-sectoral Partnership Council, which will work with services like police, mental health, education and social services among others.
