The Provincial Government is encouraging residents to get out and enjoy nature everyday this month. The “Ontario Parks 30×30 Challenge” encourages residents to spend 30 minutes outside in nature for everyday in August.
This is the 5th year that the challenge has been issued that’s aimed at getting people outside and realizing the health benefits of being in nature.
Market Development Specialist at Ontario Parks Sarah McMichael says that the challenge gives people an opportunity to make nature into a habit.
McMichael says that being out in nature doesn’t have to be a Provincial Park, but can be as simple as taking your dog for a longer walk in your neighbourhood at the end of the day.
