Following a positive health unit report to Lanark County council highlighting the regions high vaccination rate, frustrations were aired concerning people sharing misinformation about the pandemic.
County warden John Fenik and Councillor Peter McLaren voiced their opinions Wednesday night surrounding misinformation around the COVID-19 vaccine and the trucker convoy protests.
Fenik was at the Ottawa protest and said there’s a segment of the population so entrenched in their views there’s nothing you can do.
McLaren said it’s frustrating anti-vaxxers spread misinformation and call the actual science fake news because it doesn’t support their opinion.
Fenik says all they can do is continue to spread their message, and not waste time on those choosing not to listen.
