Lanark County received some provincial funding to help combat homelessness in the region.
For the second straight year the county received a $1.3 million installment to their community homelessness prevention initiative.
The funding serves several purposes some of which include food and gas cards, rent and utilities assistance, and emergency shelter.
Housing Services Manager Shawna Stone said last year the allocation geared more towards the ladder aspect because the pandemic created a greater concern of homelessness.
For 2022, the funding is a little more evenly spread out to their five categories.
