On March 1st we enter the next step in the re-opening plan for the province, but Dr. Paula Stewart, medical officer of health for the Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says that doesn’t mean COVID is over.
She does say things continue to improve as we’re learning to live alongside the virus.
The doctor says we’re no longer in an emergency situation like we were in March of 2020.
Dr. Stewart says we now know what we need to do when it comes to keeping ourselves and other safe and we need to continue doing so.
The doctor notes lifting provincial regulations recognizes those efforts.
