Lanark County to send letter to all provincial party leaders expressing disapproval over MPP Hillier’s conduct

Lanark County warden John Fenik will send a letter to all provincial party leaders expressing the county’s disapproval of MPP Randy Hillier’s actions regarding the recent Ottawa trucker convoy, and his role in the misinformation spread regarding COVID-19.

This comes after county residents sent in complaints about Hillier and called on the county to act.

Councillor Klaas Van Der Meer put forth the agenda item, and was blunt in his assessment of the MPP.

There was much discussion among councillors on if they should do anything, as it would provide the MPP more media coverage, but Fenik said ultimately, representing constituents is what matters most.
