Anyone returning to Canada from abroad can now take a rapid test to prove they are COVID-19-free to get back into the country.
It must be a lab-based test and not the type you take at home.
Wayne Ashby from Ashby’s Travel Group in Perth the difference is convenience, and two days.
It can also be much cheaper to get a rapid test. Ashby says many resorts have the service on site or can get you to a nearby lab to get the test.
You’ll be given the documentation that you need to get on your plane from the lab that does the test.
You still have to use the ArriveCan app before and after your trip to provide mandatory travel information. It is available for Apple and Android devices, and can be accessed from a PC too.
