The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital says it will continue to follow all public health measures and requirements even as other sectors lift restrictions in the province.
That means practices like hand hygiene requirements, physical distancing, masking, and mandatory proof of vaccination for all visitors remains in place.
Universal masking continues to be mandatory at the PSFDH. This means that all people entering (visitors or employees) the two hospital sites must wear a mask even if they do not have any signs of an infection.
The screening process will remain in place at the entrance. Patients and visitors will then be asked to sanitize their hands and change their mask to a hospital-issued mask
Hospital President and CEO Michael Cohen is asking anyone coming to either site respect the policies and practices that are in place.
He says this will ensure the safety of the community and hospital environment.
The hospital also says it will review all policies and procedures when appropriate.
