The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit reported six people hospitalized for COVID-19 with three in the ICU and 2 ventilated in their first surveillance report of the week on Monday.
The numbers are a slight increase over the four people in hospital, with two in the ICU on ventilators in Friday’s report. The death toll remains 83.
There were a total of four outbreaks in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville, down by two.
Ontario reported fewer than 700 COVID-19 hospitalizations for the second day in a row as numbers continue a downward trend. Officials warn though that not all hospitals report weekend data, meaning Monday numbers are generally lower than the rest of the week.
