Today, March 8th, 2022 is International Women’s Day, and Executive Director of Lanark County Interval House Erin Lee tells Lake 88 this year’s theme “Break the Bias” is a good fit.
Lee says in Lanark County we are taking steps towards forging equality for women, valuing and celebrating difference, uniqueness and similarities. She says progress has been made towards equality, but there’s a way to go yet.
Interval House has released a video featuring a wide variety of local people, including board members and survivors of violence. Lee says it speaks about needed change in our communities.
