At Tuesday night’s Council meeting, Carleton Place Mayor Doug Black wasted no time in proclaiming the town’s support for the Ukrainian people in light of the Russian invasion.
Tuesday’s was the first meeting held by Carleton Place Council since the Russian incursion of Ukraine.
The town hall is now lit in blue and yellow and just as we have seen in communities across the country, a Ukrainian flag will be raised in solidarity.
