Murder suspect Shane Sabourin, accused in the death of Carleton Place man Pat Lynch back in July of 2020, is going to trial, charged with first-degree murder.
Earlier this week, Justice Janet O’Brien ruled the Crown established the required threshold for the matter to be tried in Superior Court.
The honourable judge considered evidence, relevant case law and counsel submissions in making her decision.
Sabourin is being held in the Brockville Jail.
The next step is a judicial pre-trial on April 7th.
