The province has announced that masks will no longer be required in certain public settings as of March 21st.
But as Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart tells Lake 88, the decision will remain with individuals.
Individual organizations can also decide whether to keep masking in place. Same goes for other restrictions scheduled to be lifted before the end of April.
The Ontario Hospital Association says they will be adopting and implementing certain protective measures, including making, into their own health and safety policies and procedures.
And the major teachers’ unions say they are worried that lifting mask mandates in schools so soon, the 21st is right after march Break, could lead to another disruption to in-person learning.
Some are suggested the move was politically and not scientifically motivated with an election just a few months away.
