No decision yet for Perthmore path in Perth

The fate of the Perthmore Pathway was still undecided after Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting for Perth Council.

Staff had prepared another report on options for the pathway, narrowed down to 2 choices; close it permanently and build new sidewalks on 2 neighbouring streets or redevelop it into a complete fenced public path.

After much discussion, votes called on both options failed to pass, ending in ties as councillor Judy Brown declared an interest and did not participate.

A motion was passed to bring the matter forward to the next council meeting in March.
