You no longer are required to wear a mask if you visit retail settings, most municipal run areas, and restaurants and bars in the province of Ontario as the mask mandates for most public areas has now been ended.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart says its up to us to keep ourselves, and others, safe.
You still have to wear a mask if you go to the hospital for any reason, either as a patient or visitor. Same goes for long-term care homes, until at least the end of the month.
As for municipalities, most will drop mandates in municipal-run settings. Mayor John Fenik of Perth told Lake 88 they’re being safe as the proceed.
Kids heading back to schools today won’t have to wear them at all. That includes the minute they leave their door, get on the bus, and get to class.
In any case, if an individual feels safer wearing a mask they are encouraged to do so.
