It was another busy week for Lanark County OPP with more than 340 calls coming into the local detachment.
That included one for an alleged shoplifter in Carleton Place, that could lead to a couple of other theft cases being closed.
Police got the call last Friday, and their investigation resulted in a 53-year-old Ottawa woman being charged with three counts of theft under $5000.
Thanks to information turned up during the investigation, charges were also laid against the same suspect for two other incidents earlier in the month in the town.
The accused will make a court appearance in Perth on May 16th.
Police also added that they investigated 18 theft complaints overall during the past week.
