The Local Immigration Partnership of Lanark & Renfrew has launched a website portal designed to support newcomers settle into our communities.
Jodi Bucholtz, Manager of the Local Immigration Partnership tells Lake 88 it’s designed to help with immigrants settlement and integration into our communities.
She adds that the launch is timely, but it will serve its purpose for years to come.
The portal has been split into eight categories like welcome to our community, getting settled, healthcare and more, including becoming a Canadian Citizen.
The site can be found at www.liplanarkrenfrew.ca/newcomers, and is expected to be used by several local groups bringing immigrants to our region from around the world, including those displaced by the Ukrainian War.
The site was created with the help of Algonquin College.
