Carleton Place Councillor Toby Randall had high praise for the town’s fire service after a dangerous apartment fire early yesterday morning.
In the fire on Lake Avenue East at an apartment building two residents on the second floor got out safely by ladder and damage was contained to 2 units in the building with no injuries.
Members of the Carleton Place Fire Department also responded to a house fire in Pakenham with multiple services responding.
Lanark County OPP praised all fire services involved for their bravery at the two fires.
