Three men are facing robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance after a robbery at a hardware store in Carleton Place.
It happened this past Sunday. Police were called to the store shortly before three. Their investigation found that three men stole items, then used a substance, before making their getaway.
A joint investigation involving several OPP departments and the Ottawa Police resulted in theft and administering noxious substance charges against 33-year-old Christopher Leahy, 39-year-old Patrick St. Denis, and 28-year-old Jody Trepanier, all from Ottawa. They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Several store employees and customers were treated on the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.
