Smiths Falls Police have charged a pair of suspects in separate domestic investigations in the town.
On Monday the 11th, they got a 9-1-1 call from a woman saying she had been threatened by her ex-partner. Police later found that a 27-year-old Smiths Falls man allegedly threatened to kill her. He was found a short time later, arrested, charged, and held for a bail hearing.
Then on the 13th, a Perth woman was arrested and charged after police were called to investigate an assault at a Church Street residence. They arrested the 19-year-old woman and she was charged with assault. They also discovered she had allegedly assaulted her partner several other times. She too was held for a bail hearing.
The charges in both cases have not been proven in court.
Police say if you are in a dangerous domestic situation, call 9-1-1 when it is safe to do so.
