Old Slys swing bridge in Smiths Falls closed for maintenance on Monday, May 2nd

Traffic, already slowed by construction closures, is going to be a little more congested in Smiths Falls next Monday.

Parks Canada says their crews will be performing spring maintenance on the Old Sly’s swing bridge on Monday, May 2^nd from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The bridge will be closed to traffic and pedestrians.

So, you can expect delays and are asked to take an alternate route.

The town says large commercial traffic should follow Jasper Avenue, Lombard Street, Abbott Street, and Cornelia Street West.

Detours will be posted.
