At Tuesday night’s Carleton Place town council meeting, Mayor Doug Black offered up details of the reconstruction of Bridge Street to start on Monday.
Mayor Black reported that crews will be starting the installation of catch-basins starting at Lake Avenue, working their way up to College Street.
While this work is underway crews will isolate their work zones and this section of Bridge Street will be signed for local traffic only.
The coming weeks will see sidewalk removal in a continuous process of installing new underground services and sidewalk replacement.
Warning signs will be in place to restrict any through traffic and limit vehicles through the active construction zone.
It will be noisy and dusty in the area, but in the end its hoped the finished product makes it all worth while.
