The Perth Blue Wings season came to an end Thursday night in Casselman, and it didn’t turn out the way the team or their fans wanted it to.
Ben Langille continued to shine for the team in the loss though.
The Casselman Vikings are the EOJHL champions after taking Game Six at home by a score of 6-3. They took the Barkley Cup by a 4 games to 2 margin.
Of note, Casselman’s win at home was the first home-ice win for either team in the series.
Perth got goals from Rowan Lahaise, and Langille scored two in the loss to cap his excellent playoff run.
Langille led the league with 27 points including 16 goals in the 17 games he played during the playoffs. Ten points better than the second place finisher.
