Judy Brown to seek Mayor’s chair in Perth

Perth Councillor Judy Brown has made it official. She will seek the Mayor’s Chair in the October Municipal Election.

Sources had told Lake 88 that Brown was planning on running for the seat currently held by John Fenik.

Brown’s name now appears on the town’s website under the list of unofficial candidates. We had been told she would file her nomination papers when the nomination period opened yesterday.

So far, she is the only candidate listed.

However current Mayor John Fenik recently announced on Lake 88 that he would be seeking re-election.
