As we wait for the National Advisory Committee on Immunization and Health Canada to examine the data provided for the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine for kids aged 6 months to 5 years, Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart says there’s reason to be optimistic.
It’s not known how long approval of the new vaccine will take. But when it is, Dr. Stewart says the Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit will be ready to get to work.
Stewart says local primary care providers will play a big role in the process too.
