Lanark County Warden says Emergency Preparedness Week is not just for residents

Warden of Lanark County John Fenik reminds us that Emergency Preparedness Week is a time for local government to take stock too.

He says communication is critical between all levels of government when an emergency presents itself.

Fenik, who is also Mayor of Perth, says the system in place in Lanark County is good and has been tested, for example when a train spakred wildfires along the line between Perth and Smiths Falls.

Fenik says they all learn from experiences in other communities.
