The Township of Rideau Lakes reports growth in the most recent data from the 2021 Census.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom tells us that its vital information that will help them plan for the future.
Mayor Hoogenboom says that makes Rideau Lakes one of the fastest growing municipalities in Leeds and Grenville.
He says that the township is above the provincial and national average for seniors, and there’s more good news too.
Hoogenboom says the township is acting appropriately when it comes to planning and development.
The township says all ages will benefit from the ongoing investments in broadband, and the future delivery of services, leisure activities and programming both in-person and digital-based too.
In terms of heath care, the Township says it has made an investment in the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital with an annual grant to support all in the community.
