Sexual Assault Awareness Month is underway and a special webinar is taking place that will help hair salon professionals understand how to recognize and respond effectively to clients who are victims of domestic violence.
The Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Advisory Committee for Lanark County is hosting the session called “Cut It Out – Salons Against Domestic Violence” today (Monday, May 9) at 2 p.m. It will feature Tracy Rogers the Cut it Out project coordinator.
The program builds awareness of domestic violence and educates salon professionals on how to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and safely refer clients to resources that can help them.
