Smiths Falls Council Meeting - May 16, 2022
The town of Smiths Falls has entered a new five-year agreement with the Chamber of Commerce to provide visitor information services and operational management at the Victoria Park marina.
The two sides have been negotiating towards a long-term deal for several months which worked for both sides.
Councillor Jay Brennan said it’s a welcome continuing partnership, especially following the campground closure.
Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Julia Crowder said a $20,000 influx from the town is designated separately.
The funding will help the Chamber provide information packages, redecorated, and increase offerings for visitors like bike rentals.
