Former Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP Randy Hillier’s daughter Chelsea Hillier is now on the ballot for the provincial election.
She will be running for the Populist Party.
Hillier made it on to the ballot by filing her nomination papers with Elections Ontario with less than 90 minutes to go before the deadline.
Hillier got the signatures needed after the original candidate in the riding dropped out.
That means there will be eight candidates on the ballot on June 2nd.
She told Inside Ottawa Valley that some of the top issues in the riding are affordable housing, rural broadband internet, and limiting the power of government.
