Brooke Henderson set to return to LPGA Tour

Brooke Henderson is ready to play on the LPGA Tour again.

The Smiths Fall native has been out with an undisclosed illness for several weeks but will tee it up once again at this week’s US Open.

She says she is feeling better after stepping away from the game to deal with the illness, telling TSN, “Listening to your body and knowing when to take a step back is key for any athlete.”

She last played at the start of May and missed the cut in her last two tournaments.

Brooke says she’s ready to come back and says her game is in good shape. It will have to be. The US Open is one of the toughest challenges in all of golf.

She’s finished in the top ten three times at the event over the course of her career, including tying for seventh last year.
