The annual Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Telethon takes place this Sunday.
You no doubt know someone who has had to take a child to CHEO at one point or another. It’s a facility parents hope they never have to use, but are comforted knowing its there.
Jacqueline Belsito, Vice-President Philanthropy with the CHEO Foundation, tells us the telethon is a vital annual tradition to keep the facility top notch.
Belsito adds that children have had to take the brunt of the pandemic, when it comes to health care availability.
Money raised goes to fund research and much like our Lake 88 Radiothon supporting our hospitals and community health centres, pays for needed equipment and supplies to provide the care the young patients need.
